Dakota is the Founder and President of Sycamore Builders, which he launched in 2021 with a focus on high-performance construction and a commitment to creating lasting value for both the environment and the local community. He holds a degree in Construction Management and comes from multiple generations of craftsmen and builders, a background that continues to shape his practical, detail-driven approach to building.
Dakota is a certified Passive House Builder and a licensed General Contractor with an Unlimited designation in both residential and commercial construction. He serves on Brevard’s City Council Downtown Master Planning Committee, holds a seat on the Board of Directors for the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a Platinum Member of the Green Built Alliance, and serves on the Transylvania County Long-Term Recovery Group.
Based in Brevard, Dakota is passionate about building a team that delivers thoughtful, sustainable luxury homes throughout Western North Carolina. Outside of work, he enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Originally from the mountains of Colorado, Dakota moved to Brevard in 2015 and now lives downtown with his wife, Lucy, and their two sons, Parker and Andy.
